As I was doing my studies, I came across this scripture and it was as if everything came to an halt - let me tell you why ...
1 Samuel 16:2-3 ~ And Samuel said, "How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me." And the Lord said, "Take a heifer with you and say, 'I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.' 3 And invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what you shall do. And you shall anoint for me him whom I declare to you.
Did you notice? God said "and I will show you what you shall do". Samuel was anxious over Saul and unsure what he should even be doing or how it would play out for him but God said, go and do this THEN I will show you ...
How many times have we felt or been told to do something but anxiety or fear kept us from going or doing? We don't like the fact we can't see the outcome, we always want God to lay everything out, right in front of us play by play before we decide. God is simply saying just go and do not fear, I will provide the needed instructions at the appropriate time. We are often times called to step out in faith without knowing every detail, we can trust that God will provide what is needed in the right time and by being obedient is part of living out our faith to The Lord.
