A relationship with Jesus is the most important relationship a person can have. A relationship with Jesus results in new life (Ephesians 2:4–5); forgiveness (Colossians 1:14); the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (John 14:16–17); and, in the future, bodily resurrection and a home in heaven (John 14:19; Philippians 3:20–21).

“My son, keep my words and store up my commands within you. Keep my commands and you will live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye. Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.” Proverbs 7:1–3
Reading your bible is the best way to begin building a relationship with Jesus. Jeremiah 29:13 says And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart, praying and reading your bible draws you closer to him.
Read, Listen, Write, Study, Meditate
The Bible urges us to study the scriptures for greater understanding (Acts 17:11). The apostle Paul told Timothy, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).
